A Loving Family Looking to Adopt....we have so much to give
Thank you for taking the time to allow us to introduce ourselves and to let you know a little bit about us and our lives. We don’t know what you are experiencing, but we admire your courage during this time.
We are Nathan and Lisa and have been together for 14 years and married for 7. We have one son, Avery who is 5 years old and a chocolate Labrador who is 10 years old named Trapper. Avery is our biological son and after many miscarriages we are sadly unable to conceive a second child. As this news hit us pretty hard we knew that we could still grow our family with adoption.
We know you desire the very best for your child, and we want you to know that we will give your child unconditional love and a beautiful life. We will dedicate our lives to providing your child with love, support, and affection.
We are so excited to open our home and hearts to your child and to teach them the sacrifice and strength you made in this selfless choice. We thank you for getting to know us and considering us in raising your child.
Little back story on us, we both grew up in Upstate NY, Lisa is from Clifton Park and Nathan is from Schenectady. We met at Davis Vision, whom which was both our employer at the time and where Nathan still works today. We got married back in 2011 in St. Thomas at a small ceremony with our family and close friends. Was amazing!!
We lived in Clifton Park, NY and 2013 we were blessed with the birth of our son who is now 5, Avery. He is a loving, adventurous little boy who is excited to have a sibling one day. It wasn’t until 4 years ago we moved to San Antonio, TX for Nathan’s job. We love it here and have made an amazing life for our family.
Each day I wake up and think what will today bring our way. Some days there is nothing! NO leeds, NO emails, NO messages, etc. Although this happens we are hopeful that each day we are continued to be shared and people are still seeing our profile, website, etc.
I can say this week has been amazing! Not only did I get to meet someone who has adopted, I got a beautiful message from a friend that I truly hardly know (we did go to cosmetology school together) but were brought back into eachothers lives by friends. She just wanted to let me know she too knows what we are going through as she too adopted and that she is always there to chat. That means soo much!
Not to mention- today got another message from a women again I hardly know, met her one because she was my nurse a few times when I had to have my D&C done and her kids go to the same school Avery does but she reached out she saw a post on FB for someone talking about adoption and her friends baby. Hey it may not work out but at the same time the fact that she thought of us means we are doing something right.
Thank you all…Each day is different some darker than others but we know one of these days it’s going to be the BRIGHTEST of them all.
Yesterday was a great day! A friend that I was lucky to meet because our kids started kindergarten together but also we take the same workout classes at the gym, set up a play date at her house with her friend who has adopted twice.
It was nice to hear someone else’s story of adoption, heartbreak and excitement. We laughed and even cried together and I just met her. It’s true when they say everyone’s adoption story is different. I’m so happy for her and her family that they were able to complete it with two adoptions. I’m so grateful we got to meet, I got to ask questions and just had someone understand what we are going through. Thank you Lori Atkins McCall for taking the time to meet me, discuss your adoption journey and gave me great advice for our journey.
Thank you Erin Welton Gatlin for setting up the play date. Truly meant a lot ❤️ I believe people come in and out of our lives for a reason. This friendship has just begun and we have lots of more laughs and memories to make.
Thank You for Visiting Our Adoption Profile
We want to thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child.
We truly appreciate your kindness and strength and look forward to hearing from you.
