We will provide a loving and happy home for your child where they will always be encouraged to follow their dreams.

Dear Birthparents,

We appreciate your time in reading our letter, and although we don't know exactly how you feel, we hope you find the strength to do what will make your heart content and know that you are doing what's best for you and your baby.

We are Jesse and Jamie. We are hard working, laid back, fun loving and kind people that feel so blessed to have found each other to continue on this journey of life together. We got married in 2014 in the town we live in surrounded by family and friends. In December of 2015, we were blessed with our daughter Maggie. At 12 weeks pregnant, we found out that Maggie had Down syndrome. We were shocked, but wouldn't allow that to get in the way of our excitement. Today she is 2 and is a happy, healthy and adorable little girl!

As a family, we love nothing more than to spend time together. Whether it's walks in our neighborhood, traveling to flea markets, or spending time at our family's cottage up north, as long as we are together we are happy. We also have two dogs that add quite a bit to our family dynamic! Frank and Murphy, who are both rescue dogs, are loveable pets who can't get enough belly rubs, dog bones and walks.

The decision to adopt came after we had Maggie and found out that our chances to have another child would be slim. We knew that we wanted to adopt to grow our family. We recently built a new house with lots of bedrooms we look forward to filling up!

We would love for the opportunity to meet with you and talk in person. If you would feel we would be a good fit for your adoption plan, we would open our hearts and minds to any amount of openess in the adoption that you are comfortable with. We would love to have you be a part of our lives! Please know if we were to continue on this journey together, your child will be provided for and loved unconditionally. They would grow up being encouraged to follow their dreams, and as parents we would never hold them back.

We will continue to pray for you on your journey,

Jesse, Jamie and Maggie

Who We Are

We started dating on Valentine's Day 2009. Jesse took to Jamie immediately. Jamie took awhile to come around. (He just seemed too good to be true!) But, once Jamie followed her heart a deep love grew. We knew that we were meant to be together forever!

On May 10th, 2014 we got married. Nothing felt better than having all of our favorite people under one roof, celebrating our love and marriage.

We tried to have kids immediately and with no luck for over a year, we sought professional help. We decided to do some more invasive treatments and right before we started, we found out we were pregnant! We were beyond excited. At the 12 week mark, we got a call from our doctor. He said we were having a baby girl, and that she had Down syndrome. The diagnosis came as a shock to us, but we were not going to let that get in the way of our excitement of becoming a Mom and Dad!

On December 10th, 2015, our beautiful daughter Maggie was born. She immediately filled our lives with so much joy and happiness!

Shortly after having Maggie we went back to the specialist to find out that more kids wasn't likely. We knew we wanted to adopt to grow our family. The three of us (and 2 dogs!) have so much love to share!

We keep a happy and healthy household by reminding each other that love and kindness always rule!

Adoption Diary

Mondays

Jamie’s Grandma is in an assisted living facility and Monday afternoons/early evenings, is always a time to go visit.  It’s just understood within the family that if anytime is free show up at Grandma’s and catch up on life! Yesterday while there we got the call that Grandma is a Great Grandma again, with her fourth great granddaughter! Great Grandma is 88 and lives for these weekly gatherings. We all love creating these memories.
Here’s a picture of my Grandma, Maggie’s Great Grandma, telling her the history of her grandfather clock. She told Maggie that if Great Grandpa were still with us, he might not appreciate Maggie’s kissy marks all over the glass. He was always a little more particular that Grandma was. Haha! Great Grandma, on the other hand, loves it.
These moments are priceless!
