We are John, Kate and Ellie. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We hope you will see the love we have for each other, our family, and our future child. We love doing things together as a family - everything from going to the park or pool to visiting the beach or zoo. We are excited to share our adventures with another child and will always love our children unconditionally.
We love spending time as a family and taking day trips to places like the aquarium, the zoo, New York City, or the beach. We enjoy playing in the snow and building snowmen in the winter, picking strawberries in the spring, and swimming in the summer. We also go to Ohio or Louisiana throughout the year to visit family and friends.
I come from a large family now spread all over Louisiana and Texas. My father is a preacher and my mom was a teacher for over twenty years. I am the only boy with 5 sisters! We grew up very protective of each other and to this day talk on a regular basis. There are currently 7 cousins on my side of the family and we get together as often as we can - usually centered around my mother who is a kid magnet. Ellie FaceTimes with Nana as often as she can. My family is very supportive and excited to walk this journey with us. It takes a village to raise a child and we couldn’t be luckier with the support system around us.
I have an older sister, Sarah, and a younger brother, Scott. Sarah lives in New York with her husband and their two young girls, Rachel (2) and Leah (1). Scott lives in California where he works as a doctor. My parents are no longer together, but both still live in Ohio. Although we all live so far apart we are still very close and talk, text, and FaceTime any chance we get. We often talk to each other multiple times in one day. My family makes an effort to get together several times a year. Our home has been host to many of these family gatherings. My family is extremely supportive of our decision to adopt and is so excited to welcome this special child into our family.
