Hey there! Hi there! Hello! We can't wait to share this adventure with you!

How could we possibly fit everything we want to say into a single letter? Words could never express all that we know and all that we feel in our hearts. We will never be able to completely put our hearts on paper.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little, and thank you for considering us to embrace your child to complete our family. We can't possibly know what you are going through, but we are so grateful for you and your strength.

We are Dan and Katy. Together, with our three-year-old daughter, Amelia, we would be delighted for your child to share our life. When asked why we want to adopt, the best way to explain it is in a single word. That word is love. Katy has always wanted to adopt, ever since she was a child. She has always felt a calling in her heart to grow her family through adoption. We are so excited to make that dream a reality.

We, as a family, have so much love in our hearts and our home. We would be so honored to treasure, respect, and care for your child. Everything we do is driven by devotion to one another. We can provide your child with a happy, healthy, warm, and full life. We believe that love and security, are so important to thrive; our family can and will provide that in abundance.

Thank you for your amazing strength and your amazing heart. We are grateful for you.

Please, don't ever hesitate to reach out. Text, call, email. Whatever feels comfortable. We are here, with so much love.

Who We Are

Believe it or not, the story of us all began with an online message. We met on a dating website, and after our first date for sushi, we knew we would end up together. We were engaged just a few months later, and eloped! Our marriage story is kind of unique, we were married in a jail! But, neither of us were in jail. We happened to have a friend who worked there, who was able to marry us. It was the most amazing day of our lives. Later that year, in the Fall, we had a church wedding surrounded by our family and friends. And the rest is history!

Together we have a little girl, her name is Amelia. She just turned three, and she makes our hearts happy. Amelia is full of life and spirit, and she reminds us what everything is truly all about!

Before Amelia was born, I worked as a social worker, and then I became a full time mom. And that is the greatest job I have had the privilege to have. I plan on being a stay at home mom for the foreseeable future, and truly raising our children.

Dan is a Division Sales Manager for a large national company. He loves his job, and he loves his family. His job allows him to be home for dinner and never miss a minute of our family time.

Family matters most to Dan and I. Family does and will, always come first. We pride ourselves in our relationship with each other, and our family. We take time each day to celebrate each other, and laugh. We take time to show each other we care, and we never leave the house without saying "I love you." The little things matter, and they often mean the most. We spend time with each other as often as possible. We know we will make mistakes, and not always do it right, but we always promise to learn and grow together.

We love to take trips together and Walt Disney World is one of our favorite places. We try and travel there each year and enjoy the magic! There is something about being there that truly captivates you and makes you feel like being a kid again. There is also nothing like seeing the joy on a child's face when they are there. It completely changes the experience. We love sharing that with Amelia and cannot wait to share that with a new addition.

Adoption has always been in my heart, ever since I was a child. When I shared with Dan my dream of adopting, he was completely on board with an open heart. We are so ready for this journey and so ready to envelope you and your child as our family.

Adoption Diary

Where to begin. . .

For some reason, this is the hardest part of this journey. Not just the waiting, but figuring out how to say what I want to say. I have so much to say, but how do you make it all make sense?

As I sit here this morning with my cup of coffee, and listening to the pitter patter of little feet, running around, playing “Frozen”, I have a million thoughts bouncing around in my head. I’m thinking about how much love we have and how much we want to grow our family through love. I am thinking about how there is a pair of feet missing from the pitter patter Amelia is making. I am dreaming. Dreaming about the future, and all that I want to do. Today is one of those days, that I just can’t get into words, all the thoughts I have. So I sit here, listening, and nursing my coffee, and enjoying the moment, without trying to figure it all out.
