Thank you for visiting our page!
Let us begin by telling you that we understand choosing adoption is not an easy decision. Our first priority is making sure that our adoption process is comfortable for all involved. We have always had adoption in mind to expand our family and are excited to begin the process. Through this page, hopefully you will learn about our values and how we will be able to support your child throughout his or her life.We have been participating in adoption groups to learn about how adoption may affect adoptees as well as their families and believe this will help us on our journey. Though we are open to both open and closed adoptions, we believe that keeping open communication with you is what would be best for a child. Best of luck to you on your journey and thank you for considering us :)
If you would like a more detailed look at our daily lives, check out our Facebook page: Erin & Andrew Hope to Adopt.
We are Erin & Andrew. Our first date was mini golf and batting cages. We ended up having an instant connection and knew we would be great together. We were married 3 1/2 years later at the William Penn Inn! Though our careers are important to us (Erin is a Dietitian at a dialysis center and Andrew is a Freight driver for Fed Ex), we always knew that we would like to expand our family through adoption. We do not have any other children, aside from our dog Markie and our cat Charlee. They are adorable and are friendly with the children in our lives.
We happen to be very passionate about animals. Erin volunteers at an animal shelter and we both enjoy going to the aquarium or the zoo as a weekend activity. In addition, Andrew is a huge sports fan and can often be found watching or going to a baseball or football game. He would enjoy being involved as a coach of a little league team one day.
We are also very close with our extended families as you will see in our pictures. They live close to us and are great support systems. Both of our parents enjoy babysitting their current grandchildren often and taking them to the park or reading time at the library! Erin has one brother, Josh, who now has a son and Andrew has a sister, Lauren, who now has 2 daughters. Caring for our nieces and nephew have taught us so much about life and helped us prepare for a little one.
In our family, grandparents are especially important! We respect their wisdom and they always have the best hugs. Every weekend we go to visit Erin’s grandfather- he’s almost 98! Over the years, we have learned so much from his experiences - invaluable lessons. Our parents are thrilled to be doing that for their grandchildren.. what a blessing!
