We know you must be on a roller coaster of emotions right now, so thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
Through this page, hopefully you will see that we have strong family values and a loving support system. You will see that we enjoy life & like to see our family and friends happy.
Adoption has actually always been the plan for expanding our family. We have been participating in adoption groups to learn about how adoption affects everyone involved and believe this will help on our journey.
We'd like you to know that whether you choose adoption or choose to parent, there will be no judgement from us. Our first priority is making sure that our process is comfortable for all involved. Though we are comfortable to both open and closed adoptions, we believe that keeping open communication with you is what would be best for your child.
Best of luck to you on your journey and thank you for considering us :)
If you would like a more detailed look at our daily lives, check out our Facebook page: Erin & Andrew Hope to Adopt.
Our story isn't really out of the ordinary. For our first date in 2012 we went mini golfing and tried the batting cages. Andrew was much better at these things, but we ended up having an instant connection. Andrew loved that Erin was independent and Erin loved that Andrew was funny. We were married 3 1/2 years later at the William Penn Inn! We both loved their vintage style right away. Though our careers are important to us (Erin is a Dietitian at a dialysis center and Andrew is a Freight driver for Fed Ex), we always knew that we would like to expand our family through adoption. We do not have any other children- just our dog Markie and our cat Charlee. They are affectionate and are friendly with the children in our lives.
We happen to be very passionate about animals. Erin volunteers at an animal shelter and we both enjoy going to the aquarium or the zoo as a weekend activity. In addition, Andrew is a huge sports fan and can often be found watching or going to a baseball or football game with friends and family. He would especially enjoy being involved as a coach of a little league team one day.
We are also very close with our extended families as you will see in our pictures. They live close to us and are great support systems. Both of our parents enjoy babysitting their current grandchildren often and taking them to the park or reading time at the library! Erin has one brother, Josh, who now has a son and Andrew has a sister, Lauren, who now has 2 daughters. Caring for our nieces and nephew have taught us so much about life and helped us prepare for a little one.
Good morning! Today is both of our birthdays, but we celebrated over the weekend. On Friday night, Erin went to a wood/painting workshop with Andrew’s sister. It was SO fun and a good way to get creative. We’ll put up pictures in our albums. Then, on Saturday, we went to a Phillies game with Andrew’s family. Luckily, they won! Then, on Sunday, we went out to dinner with Erin’s family. It was really a great weekend surrounded by the people we love most.
Thankfully, being in PA, we are not in the way of Hurricane Florence, but if you are-keep safe! The 17th is both of our birthdays(YUP we have the same bday) so we will have pictures up next week to share our weekend with everyone!
