We met each other more than 20 years ago.
Bart had become a Master in Law and was waiting to start his internship in a law firm in Brussels. Philippe was in-between jobs and had just moved to Brussels to increase the chances of finding a job. At that time we were both working for the same company.
We commuted together by train and got to know each other quite well. After a while we went each our own way and lost track of each other.
A few months later we bumped into each other again. You could say that it was “meant to be”. We started dating and our love story began.
After being together for a few years we bought a house together in the small city of Mechelen. A few years ago at a Madonna concert in Belgium I asked Philippe to marry me! He was standing in front of me, he turned towards me and immediately he said: YES!! There we were in a crowd of a few ten thousands of Madonna fans and it seemed as if we were alone there.
We were and continue to be so happy and so in love.
We announced the news to family and friends who were very happy for us.
We wanted our wedding to be a celebration of our love for each other.
On a cold but sunny February day (February 28, 2015) we got married in front of nearly 200 family and friends.
We had an official ceremony in the city hall of our town and afterwards a ceremony with music and speeches from our friends and family and we gave each other a ring as a symbol of our never ending love. In the evening we had a dinner party and we danced the night away...
In 2001 we bought a townhouse that we renovated together with Bart’s father. We put a lot of effort and love into the renovation to turn the house into a home where we like to spend our time and welcome our family and friends . We look forward to adding your little one and decorating a nursery.
I was raised by my mum and we lived together with my sister in my hometown Mechelen.
When I was 18 years old, I left home and started working for
an American company in Belgium.
I met Bart when I was 23. For 19 years now I have been working for a European Bank.
I love to decorate our home and we like to entertain friends and family at home.
I’m interested in art and love to cook and to experiment with
I am looking forward to teaching your child about art, to be creative and prepare
treats together in the kitchen.
We both love traveling and we would like to show the world to our child.
I spent my childhood in a small village in Belgium with my parents and extended family. When I was 18 I left for university to study law. For many years now I work as an in-house Lawyer in a big company. When I was 26 I met Philippe as we were working for the same company. My hobbies are reading, watching movies, traveling and spending time with our friends. But there is something missing in our lives and that is a child to love and raise to become a wonderful person.
