Who We Are
We met 11 years ago and got to know each other because we were both active at our church. As we realized we had many things in common – including cooking, trying new restaurants, and exploring new places – we decided to spend our lives together. Our home is filled with a lot of laughter and is always a peaceful place to be. Our relationship is one of mutual respect and a shared faith, which helps guide us through all of life’s decisions, both big and small.
Our adopted daughter, Lucy, is 2 and we love to explore her Hispanic heritage. We all love to spend time together playing, reading stories, listening to music (she loves to dance), and learning more about the world.
We share a passion for exploring other countries and visiting friends. We’ve visited Portugal, Japan, Israel, Southern California, and Maine. We would love to travel with our children. We spend lots of time with friends and family hosting gatherings and cooking together. Our friendly cat spends a lot of time snuggling on our laps!
Had a fun outing with Emilie’s family, to a beautiful park overlooking the ocean. We had a picnic lunch and cupcakes to celebrate Emilie’s mom’s birthday!
Visiting our local library was a fun adventure for all of us! Our daughter loved checking out the books and we are excited to read many new ones to her. Often we read books to her during breakfast, throughout the day for some quieter activity and also before bed. So many good children’s stories to share with our daughter and future children as well.
