We want to share the love, laughter and joy of our home with your child

Hello (and Hola) from Berkeley, California! We’re Jason and Andy, and we’re so grateful you’ve taken a moment to get to know us. We’ve been happily together for over 17 years and married since 2004. Our biggest dream is to build our family, and share the love, laughter, and joy of our household with a child like yours.

You are showing so much love and courage in considering adoption for your child, and we’re humbled to be part of your search for the right family. Our home is bursting with love, and we promise to nurture, care for, and protect your child with everything we’ve got!

Thanks for taking the time to read our profile, and getting to know us. We would love to get to know you too!

Who We Are

We've been married for 14 years and together since college.

Despite coming from very different family backgrounds—one from a traditional, midwestern family and the other from a family of Cuban immigrants—we share an amazingly strong connection. We’ve built our marriage on love, respect, and a healthy dose of laughter and adventure. We’re partners, we’re family, and we’re each other’s best friends. Now we can’t wait to be dads together.

We've build a wonderful life together in Berkeley, California, and our community includes:

- A big extended family that can’t wait to be a part of our child’s life. It includes four grandparents, and so many aunts, uncles and cousins that we’ve lost count

- A tight-knit group of friends in the Bay Area and across the country, many of whom are starting families of their own

- A loving church community that is warm, welcoming, and always looking out for us

- A lovable Boston Terrier named Otis who is great at sniffing, snuggling, and making babies giggle.

We’ve also put a lot of effort into preparing to be parents. We have careers at flexible, family-oriented companies with very generous family benefits. We also own a kid-friendly home in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, near great schools and right next to a playground where we hope to spend many days playing with our child. We feel extremely lucky to be at a point in our lives where we can focus on raising a happy, healthy child.

Adoption Diary

Sunshine, warmth and joy!

What a beautiful weekend. The sun was shining, the sky was a clear blue, and it was 75 degrees outside. We were able to leave the house in t-shirts and shorts! As we walked around the neighborhood, we saw lots of families pushing strollers and kids playing in the sunshine.  We opened the windows to let in the breeze and our house filled up with the joyful noise from the neighborhood playground right next to our house. When we bought our home two years ago, we knew we had found a perfect place to raise a family. There’s no doubt in my mind we hit the jackpot with our Berkeley home. We can’t wait for the day when we can raise our family here. We can’t wait to go down to the playground with our child—to help them cross the monkey bars and coax them down the slide.  Fingers crossed and prayers answered, we hope that day will come soon.

Ready to be a grandma!

We just got back from Florida where we bought a home for my retired mom to live comfortably. It was a lot of work getting the place ready for her, but the look of joy on her face—especially as she tried out her new Lay-Z-Boy recliner—was well worth it. Mom is a loving lady, and we’re so happy we can make this new chapter in her life possible. The only thing missing according to her is a grandchild! She can’t wait to be a grandma, and we can’t wait to adopt and make that a reality. She’s not too far from Disney World, so there will be lots of fun visits in the future!
