We want to share the love, laughter and joy of our home with your child

Hello (and Hola) from Berkeley, California! We are Jason and Andy, and we’re so grateful you’ve taken a moment to get to know us. We’ve been happily together for nearly 20 years, and since early 2018, we’ve been proud parents to Joseph, our first adoption miracle. Our home is filled with endless love, laughter and joy, and we’re hoping to complete our family with an amazing child like yours. We promise to give your child a loving and supportive home (with an awesome big brother), and we look forward to providing them with every opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

You show so much love and courage in considering adoption for your child, and we’re humbled to be part of your search for the right family. We promise to nurture, care for, and protect your child with everything we’ve got!

Who We Are

We graduated from Georgetown University in the same year, but we didn’t meet until after graduation when a mutual friend hatched a fateful plan to bring us together. Her plan worked, and we’ve been a couple ever since. We got married in a small church ceremony in 2004, and continued building a wonderful life together in Berkeley, California.

Despite coming from very different family backgrounds—one from a traditional, midwestern family and the other from a family of Cuban immigrants—we share an amazingly strong connection that makes us feel complete. We’ve built our family on love, respect, and a healthy dose of laughter and adventure. In 2018, we became the proud parents to Joseph, our first adoption miracle. Becoming parents has only strengthened our bond, and it has brought us closer to our community than we could have ever expected.

Our community includes:

A big extended family that love being part of our child’s life. It includes three grandparents, and so many aunts, uncles and cousins that we’ve lost count

A tight-knit group of friends in the Bay Area and across the country, many of whom are building families of their own

A loving church community that is warm, inclusive, and always looking out for us

A neighborhood community that’s active, social and welcoming

We’ve put a lot of effort into being good parents. We have careers at flexible, family-oriented companies with very generous family benefits. We also own a kid-friendly home in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, near great schools and right next to several community playgrounds where we spend many hours playing with Joseph every week. We feel extremely lucky to be at a point in our lives and careers where we can focus on raising a happy, healthy family.

Celebrating “Gotcha Day” with a beautiful hike

We love to get outdoors as a family, so when it came time to celebrate our son’s “gotcha day”—the day he joined our family—we chose to explore Mt. Tamalpais, one of the highest peaks in the Bay Area. Our son loves to explore, and we love to give him every opportunity to see nature close up. As parents we believe it’s important to nurture curiosity and give kids the space to learn and explore their interests. Our hope is that in doing that, he will gain a real love of learning that will go with him through school and beyond.

We have our baby carrier ready for hikes and long walks as a family of four. Whatever your child’s interests may be—whether its exploring the outdoors or music, art, sports, princesses or science experiments—we’re ready to welcome them into our home.

Merry Christmas!

It’s the week between Christmas and New Years Day! Our hearts (and bellies!) are full, and we are so grateful for all of the joy and happiness we’ve enjoyed this holiday season. Becoming parents has truly made our lives so rich and full, and we are so grateful for that gift. We’re looking forward to 2020 with the hope of completing our family and making making Joseph the big brother he really wants to be. Here’s to 2020 and all of the possibilities that lie ahead!
