We met at church while volunteering with college students. Immediately we were drawn to each other and the more we learned about the other, the more we fell in love. What topped it off was when we both talked about our desire to adopt.
You can catch us spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, being outside with our puppy, watching sports or going on vacations. All that is great, but our biggest passion is to have our own family.
We moved into our home in the spring of 2016. We have loved our home and neighborhood so far. Our neighbors were welcoming to us and we have enjoyed spending time with them and learning all the ins and outs of home ownership from them.
When we bought our home we were drawn to the area because there are schools within walking distance, as well as a lake and multiple parks. This will be so fun for our kids some day!
Our house a great lay out for children with three bedrooms on the first level. We loved that as well when were looking to buy our house because we knew we could be close to our children.
We have a great space just waiting for a child!
For as long as I can remember, when someone asked what I wanted to do when I grew up, my answer was that I wanted to be a husband and a dad.
That has not changed. I can't wait until I get the chance to teach our son or daughter how to throw a football or play make believe with them.
I would describe myself as outgoing. It energizes me when I can spend time with family and friends.
My wife and others have described me as goofy/funny. This comes out the most when I'm with my friend's kids or with my nieces and nephews.
Lastly, I would say that I'm committed. First off, I'm committed to my faith because that shapes the type of man that I am. I'm also committed to being the best, most loving husband possible. Lastly, I am committed to preparing myself for the day that I am a father. I am very excited for that day.
I would describe myself as a loving, caring and passionate person. I believe these attributes play out in my everyday life as a wife and pediatric nurse.
I am somewhat of a combination of an introvert and extrovert. I enjoy being around the people I know and love. I like expressing my care for others by hosting dinners, giving gifts and spending quality time with those people. I also enjoy quiet time spending time with Josh, taking walks or watching a good show! I believe my desire to love people well helps me to be a great partner to Josh in our marriage and will also help me to be a great mom!
I love to care for children at my job as a nurse. I enjoy being able to meet children where they are whether they are sick or well. Children are amazing and their interests and accomplishments are things that I get to celebrate in my job everyday!
My experience with caring for children will also help me immensely when we start our family and I can't wait for that!
