Who I Am
My road to motherhood has not been an easy one. I had always thought that having a child would just happen. But, I found myself in a situation where if I wanted to be a mother, I would need to take action and make some painful changes. I moved 3000 miles home to California and tried to get pregnant on my own, after years of failed fertility treatments and a few painful miscarriages, I decided to try adoption... and I have been trying for almost 4 years now. Adoption has come with many challenges, sacrifices and setbacks. The most difficult being the two failed adoptions that I experienced. But... I have not lost hope. I have faith that everything happens for a reason and that at the right time I will be blessed with a child to love.
Whales make there way up from the Sea of Cortez to Alaska… even if it just a little spray, it is so cool to see!
I hope everyone is able to enjoy today! I am thankful for a crowded kitchen and being able to spend the day with friends and family.
