We are honored that you are taking this time to get to know us, but before we begin to tell you a little about our life, we want you to know that we are praying for you constantly. We are praying that you feel a peace that surpasses all understanding and that you find an overwhelming sense of comfort in a time we imagine must be full of so many emotions. We recently read a quote from a birth mother named Mary Hines, that said, "Adoption isn't a birth mother's rejection but an unconditional love that inspires her to put herself last and do all she can for her baby." We fully believe this is true of you, and we will never be able to explain how grateful we are for your unconditional love. We know that you are loving your child in a way that not many understand. However, our hope for you is that you never let the negative words you may encounter from others or the turmoil of your own thoughts, speak louder than the truth; the truth that you are selfless, loving, brave, generous, humble, and strong.
We met in high school when Kathryn's best friend started dating Chris's twin brother (they're now married!). We became quick friends, dated all through college, and were married on a fun, humid, perfect Friday night in July of 2013.
It has always been a hope of ours to adopt, and we assumed our family would be made up of both biological children and adopted children. After struggling with infertility, it became very clear to us that adoption was going to be more than just a hope or a dream, but a huge part of our story, and we could not be more thrilled that God is using adoption to grow our family.
We love to spend time with our friends and family and playing with our sweet golden retriever, Theo. We also like to relax on our porch swing, travel, take walks around our neighborhood, watch movies, try new restaurants, take road trips, and wander around flea markets.
