We are a camping, MN Twins and family date night lovin' family who's excited to be on the adoption journey once again.
Welcome to the Hubs, the Bubs, and the Boo's Page on Adoptimist!
Mark is definitely the best Hubs around, Anthony is our so greatly loved Bubs and the Boo is the name he lovingly created for his little sister or brother over a year ago when we started praying for his little sibling every night while giving thanks for the day. Me? I’m the lucky wife and mom who is reminded daily that life is good every time I sit back and realize all that I have been blessed with.
A Little Bit About Us -- Our Amazing and Wonderful and Completely Blessed Adoption Story
Every struggle in life provides an opportunity. We learned many years ago that we were unable to have children of our own, which ended up bringing us the biggest blessing of our lives -- Anthony James. When we met Anth's birth mommy everything just clicked and felt right; when we met our Bubs we knew he was the sweet little boy we had been praying for. We immediately fell completely in love with both of them and felt an instant connection. Thinking back I can still remember the song that was playing on the radio when our birth mommy called to ask us to be Anthony’s parents (Colbie Caillat’s “Realize”), the long embrace birth mommy and I had knowing that we would be linked together forever because of our son, and the moment we met the beautiful almost 18 month old with long eyelashes and heart-stealing smile. Instantaneously there was so much love blooming!
We look forward to meeting another special birth mommy who will share her story, hear about our family and hopefully together we will feel an unmistakable connection that will link us forever together. We look forward to becoming a family of five (along with the family dog, Geno) and continuing our adventure of life together.

Our favorite quote that completely captures the faith we have in our adoption journey: "An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle but it will never break." -- A Chinese Proverb
Mark and I met during our senior year at Bemidji State University, dated for five years and then got married in an intimate service at a country church built by my ancestors. In sickness and in health is the wedding vow that means the most to us as a couple. Many years prior to getting married, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and spent many weeks in a hospital trying to get better to no avail. At one point I decided to give Mark an “out” in the relationship so he could find a healthy girlfriend, and a more promising future. Instead of walking out the door that day he moved the IV pole over, gently nudged me to move over and climbed into the hospital bed saying, “I’m not going anywhere” while holding me tightly.
It was at that moment I knew he was my forever and that we would be able to tackle anything in life together.
Always being there is a promise he’s always kept (first to me and now our greatly loved Bubs) and just one of many reasons I love him dearly.
Life is full of ups and downs and I'm grateful that we have each other to lean on through it all.
Our team may have lost by two, but we had a great time outside enjoying some high school football tonight. Anth brought a friend with and the two of them loved cheering on the team as well as loading up on concession stand goodies. What a great way to wrap up another week together as a family.
