Warm NYC couple want to grow our family. Let's work together! (Check out our new video!)
We understand that our situations are not the same, but we do have something fundamental in common....we both are in a situation that we wish we could change and, more importantly, we both want the absolute best for the child you are bringing into the world.
Our family is multi-cultural and bi-lingual. We're based in NYC, and we have a large extended family living nearby, not to mention in Cuba and London too.
We have been married for 13 years and are financially secure enough to give your child all the educational opportunities he or she will need to have a fulfilling and productive life. We are home study approved and certified to adopt.
Thank you for considering us and taking the time to look at our adoption profile. We are more than ready and excited to expand our family through adoption. We are also part of a large extended family with lots of traditions that we can't wait to share with a little one.
While it is not easy to fully get to know us this way, we hope our profile gives you an insight into our lives. We have great appreciation for the courage that it may take as you consider making an adoption plan for yourself and for your child, and whatever your decision may be, we wish you peace and happiness.
A little bit about us: We first met in 2002 when Sarah went to Havana for a visit. It was a beautiful day at the beach when suddenly it started pouring with rain, so Sarah went to a 'matinee' where Habaneros dance and listen to live music in the afternoon. She met Roly and we hit it off immediately. After visiting Cuba several more times, we decided to get married and Roly moved to London in 2005. In 2014, we moved back to the United States and have been building a new life for ourselves here, which we hope will include a child.
The weather has been very cold in New York so far in 2018, with a ‘bomb cyclone’ hitting the area. But it does have its advantages. Sarah had a snow day on Thursday and didn’t have to go to work, so ended up meeting Abra and family for an early dinner. See album for photos of how the extended family enjoyed the snow.
We had a party on our roof terrace last night to celebrate the visit of some friends from abroad. Also we’re moving to a different apartment soon…a little further south…on a lovely tree lined street. Pictures to follow soon!
