Active Stay at Home Mom and Supportive Dad looking for a baby brother for his two big sisters!
We are currently a family of four, ready to add a new addition to our family. We have been married for 3 years and early in our relationship we knew that adoption was the path we wanted to take to grow our blended family.
We value and recognize the decision you have made and understand the importance of sharing that decision with this precious bundle of joy.
We look forward to hearing from you and learning more about you as you have learned more about us.
While we meet almost 20 years ago, our story only began in the last 4 years.
We were friends of friends and our paths only occasionally crossed during events for our friends like weddings and baby showers. As we lived our lives, we didn't know that as our old relationships ended that ending was leading us to come together as a family.
We have quickly become a family that feels like we have been together forever and have a great time doing things from nightly family dinners to trips to zoo, the museum or the park.
We knew adoption was our path given that Tammy after difficulties with her previous pregnancies was forced to have a hysterectomy. Even before we got married we knew we wanted to grow our family beyond our 12 and 17 year old daughters, both of whom are excited about having a baby brother.
We have been on this journey of adoption for a while but are committed to adding to our family that special bundle of joy.
Both of our families live within a short drive, a half hour at the most. It is great being able to get together often to celebrate birthdays, holidays or other special events. Getting together is always fun as there are a total of 22 of us for family functions - 12 on Andrew’s side and 10 on Tammy’s. Spending time with both of our families is important to us and we make sure that if we can’t all get together we spend time with each family. These times are priceless to us as we know these times can never be replaced and that spending this time together brings us closer.
Our Church/Our Bigger Extended Family
Our church has been an important part of our adoption journey. They have supported and prayed for us through this process. We are both very active in church – Tammy sings on the praise team and Andrew runs the sound and media during the services. Our church family is almost as excited about our adoption as we are. They can’t wait for him to be a part of our bigger family.
Well our time at the lake is over and we are packing up and heading home. We have had a great time with our family and are already planning our trip for next year. We know that there will be more of us next year as Tammy’s sister in law is expecting and due in December and we are praying that our family has also grown by then.
This week we are on vacation with all of Tammy’s family. Tammy’s family always takes an annual vacation and this is the first year that all 14 of us were able to go and we are off to the lake. We are excited about spending the next week together! We have 3 generations with us and I know we will spend lots of time telling stories about previous trips and most of importantly making memories that we will share for a lifetime.
