We have been together for seven (7) years and have been married for almost three (3). We have established a relationship based on faith, honesty, and trust. We also love to have fun and think it’s important to a family. We look forward to one day providing a child the love, stability, and sense of fun and adventure they need to grow and flourish.
We met on a blind date seven (7) years ago. Right away we realized that we had similar philosophies when it came to our values, having fun, and our relationship with God and our families.
Three (3) years later David proposed and we had a beautiful interfaith wedding the next year. Our ceremony was filled with family, faith, and fun. It was a true expression of who we are as a couple and set the tone for our marriage.
We always knew that we wanted to be parents and decided that adoption was the journey we would take to parenthood. We have several nieces, nephews, and little cousins and love witnessing them grow up. We are also learning a lot from their experiences and the experiences of their parents.
We have an amazing apartment in a major City in Massachusetts complete with a backyard and deck.
We are surrounded by beautiful parks, landmarks, museums, amazing shops and restaurants which are sometimes conveniently within walking distance.
We are also minutes away from top ranked schools and hospitals which is important to every family.
The best feature, our family is right next door! Who can ask for more!
Janet was born in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands where she spent her childhood. She also spent her childhood summers going between St. Lucia and Dominica, where her parents are from. Her cultural roots run deep in terms of staying true to the culture, food, and the people who made her who she is today. One of Janet’s strengths is her passion for family. She has an open heart and has a wonderful spirit. She has natural maternal instincts which come out when she is around children. She also has a carefree spirit that shines through and will be a blessing to our future child.
David grew up in MA. In fact, his roots in MA go back to the Wampanoag Tribe and he is a direct descendant of Paul Cuffee, a famous sea captain, featured in the New Bedford Whaling Museum. He is the most patient, loving, and nurturing man I have ever met. Those qualities make for an amazing father. He will be the kind of father to rock a pink boa and have a tea party with a little girl, play WWE wrestling with a little boy, or even has the openheartedness to switch it around if he has to. He is also ready for the little things, whether it be chasing a rambunctious toddler around with sunscreen on a hot summer day and making sure a know-it-all adolescent is on top of their homework. I truly lucked out when I chose him for a husband/partner.
