Loving NYC family longing to be a tribe of five

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to have a large family. My elementary school friends still love to remind me about the lists I made of names for the six (!) children I wanted. As time went on and I learned in my teenage years that I'd be unable to safely carry a pregnancy, I started researching adoption (as you can see I'm a bit of a planner!) and knew this would ultimately lead me towards my goal of motherhood.

Soon after meeting my husband Curt in 2000 I revealed to him that I'd be unable to carry a child. Thankfully this was a complete nonissue for him and in fact he was as excited to learn about the process as I was in informing him about it.

In 2008 our oldest son Brady was born and the journey of parenthood had begun! Then in 2012, Tate arrived and just like that we were a family of 4. Our boys, now 8 and 5 are extremely excited to welcome a new baby into our family. In fact they are currently a little baby obsessed- pointing out "cute", "chubby", "smiley" babies everywhere we go. They've had a lot of experience lately with babies as our extended family grows with cousins galore!

Curt and I are fortunate enough to have an open relationship with both boys birth families. We keep in touch via texting mostly but also through Facebook, sent photos and letters as well as phone calls. We understand that each adoption situation is different and we are open to whatever relationship you are most comfortable with.

We invite you to take a look at our PDF (click "Download our Profile") that is loaded with pictures and will help you get to know us a little better (we have a soft cover book we can also send you if you'd prefer that). In our prior experiences, we have learned that a few phone conversations really helps to solidify a great match between birth moms and an adopting family. Adoption has brought so much joy to our lives and we are so excited to be on this wild adventure again.

Best of luck in your part of this journey. It is emotional, stressful and overwhelming even in the best of circumstances. We will be with you through all of it both during your pregnancy and afterwards. Can't wait to hear from you!

Much love- Sara, Curt, Brady & Tate

Who We Are

The best way for you to get to know us is by checking out our online photo book by clicking on the link shown.

In it you'll learn about us as a couple, our two previous adoptions experiences, meet our sons Brady and Tate and get a glimpse of what our life is like in New York City.

Trust your gut... if you have a good feeling about us... get in touch! Once we are able to speak on the phone and you can put a voice to the pictures you may feel a bit more comfortable about this crazy process! At that time you can ask all the questions you might have about us, our life, how we parent and how we plan to welcome your baby into our lives! I'm sure you'll also be curious about what we like to do as a family (anything at the beach!), what music we listen to (Sara- 90's hip hop, reggae, Beyoncé; Curt- classic rock) and what type of big brothers Brady and Tate will be (Brady is compassionate, always wanting what is fair and right and Tate is our spit fire known to break out dancing and grab bugs and sea life with his bare hands!)
