Our story started in 2012 when we met through a friend. The moment we met we both felt an instant connection (I know it sounds cliché!) The more we talked and dated the more we had in common. We dated for a year and half before Nate proposed and we were married 6 months later on May 31st, 2014. Our wedding was the best day filled with all our family and friends. We loved every second of it!
Marriage has been great to us. We’ve made some amazing memories! We’ve made memories through vacations, building our new home, and sitting in our backyard watching our dogs play. Our days are filled with constant entertainment because of our 2 cocker spaniels. Bella is sassy and Raider is feisty. The combination of the 2 makes them so much fun! We also love to camp and hike. We have a certain camping spot that we go to at least twice a summer. It’s the perfect weekend getaway where we enjoy the green grass, rivers, and hiking trails.
Family is the most important thing to both of us. We are both extremely close to our families and both families have accepted each of us with open arms. Nate has 2 siblings, an older brother and a younger sister. Both are married and have given us 2 nieces and 3 nephews who make us so proud! Both his brother and sister have really inspired us in what type of parents we want to be. By watching them parent we’ve learned to always love, support, and interact with our future children. Nates parents are the best. They are always one call away whenever we need anything. Nate talks to them at least once a day whether it’s just a quick hello or he’s calling to get advice. Whitney has 3 sisters, 2 older and 1 younger. They are her best friends and they talk every day. Her parents are the most loving and supportive parents. They never missed a sporting event or dance recital while growing up! Her 3 sisters are all married and have given us 6 nephews and 4 nieces. Our future child will definitely have a lot of cousins to play with!
We just built our home and moved in on 4-30-17. Our home has a big kitchen and living room area, 3 bedrooms, and 2 baths. One of the rooms is just waiting for a nursery to be decorated! We have a fenced in yard with a garden. Our neighborhood is full of children and they regularly hold block parties with fun games and lots of food!
whitney is an amazing woman. Caring, compassionate, kind and loving. She would do anything for anyone especially her children which she is desperately overdue to have. I cant wait to see her tears of excitement and joy the day we adopt our child. She will make our house a home and make the child happy as long as we live!
Nate is the hardest working, fun loving, most genuine person I have ever met. The thing that drew me to him first (besides his looks!) was his love for his family. He takes care of everyone around him and is always the life of the party. He loves me through everything and I never have to question that. He is drawn to kids and every one of them love him. I can't wait to see him be a daddy. The love he will have for the child will be un-measurable.
