When we met, we immediately knew that we were going to be in each other’s lives forever - the proverbial love at first sight. Our first date was at a local restaurant in Atlanta where, little did we know, we would be chatting for hours to the point where the restaurant was closing and the staff had to ask us to finish up. From that point on, we have been inseparable.
As we spent more time together, we found that our interests in life are extremely similar. We love to travel, spend time with family and friends, be outdoors, learn and educate ourselves about the world around us, and spend lots of time with our pets. A deep connection to our fami-lies and friends was an immediate attraction for us both. We are always laughing, joking, and keeping each other on our toes. We have a strong sense of love, loyalty, respect, and openness for each other that only strengthens our relationship - we honestly enjoy each other’s company. We love to experience new things, as well as cherish and learn from the old.
Together we enjoy time with each other and our dogs, visiting our cabin, time outdoors, travel-ling, going to fairs, concerts and festivals, and spending time with our friends and family. Thomas also enjoys camping, scuba diving, and doing home improvement projects, and Nick is a swim-mer and runner. We look forward to introducing our child to these activities and discovering what his or her unique passions will be.
We live a life full of adventure and optimism and we believe that every day is a gift meant to be appreciated. We are looking forward to showing our baby all that life has to offer and doing it together as a family.
Recently we bought a new house in a village that is eclectic, diverse, friendly and perfect for young families. Our home is nestled away on a quiet cul-de-sac just walking distance from the center of town, with a quaint backyard that has lots of birds and wildlife to enjoy. We even have a mother deer and her fawn that make their way through our backyard, which is hard to believe being so close to the city.
Our home has become a warm gathering place for our friends and family to spend time together. Our neighbors are very social and friendly and often have gatherings or barbecues to keep in touch. Some of our closest neighbors have recently started families of their own or are expecting very soon. We are very much looking forward to lots of children in our neighborhood for our child to play and grow up with.
We live about 10 minutes outside of Atlanta, Georgia and feel fortunate there is an abundance of cultural and family friendly activities so close by. Trips to the zoo, aquarium (the world’s largest), centennial park, and the botanical gardens are all on our list to explore with our child.
We also appreciate that for most of the year, our weather is good for outside activities. From the beautiful Christmas lights in the botanical gardens, to spring time strawberry picking, or an evening summer stroll in one of the many parks, we take every opportunity to spend time out-doors.
Thomas holds a senior position at a large corporation which provides him with an extremely flex-ible schedule, often working from home most days. Throughout his life, he has been fortunate enough to live and work around the world in some very exciting places. I have a lot of respect for how well he maintains the friendships he has made in all the places he has lived.
Thomas is a very compassionate, loving, and warm-hearted person. He is one of the most supportive people I know and always keeps an open mind. Two valuable traits I have learned from Thomas are to stay positive and that everything will work out. He makes people feel welcome and always likes to make people laugh. When Thomas and I first began dating, starting a family and having children was always in our path. He is extremely excited and passionate about be-coming a father.
Nick is a doctor of chiropractic and works in a very family oriented practice. He has patients that include everyone from families, to expecting mothers, to even children. He takes pride in watching them grow, change, and achieve major health goals. He loves being a Chiropractor and it shows in his passion for his patients and caring for others comes from his heart. Because of Nick’s schedule and work atmosphere, he will be able to spend lots of time with our baby, even being able to bring our baby to work.
Nick is a loving and devoted brother, uncle and partner and I know that will lend itself to being an amazing father. We have so much in common but yet have varied interests – it’s a perfect balance. He has an amazing goofy sense of humor and can always bring a smile to my face even after a rough day. I cannot see myself with anyone else!
