Your child will grow up in a home full of adventure, acceptance, and unconditional love.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about us. There is no way we can understand how you feel and what you are going through right now. The journey you’re going through right now is a difficult one we’re sure. We have so much respect for you and the decision you are making. We know our path to being a family may not be possible without you. You are putting the needs of your child first and we pledge to do the same.
We want you to know that your child will be unconditionally loved by us and those around us. Your child will be raised in a home full of love, laughter, and acceptance. We will give them every opportunity we can. They will travel and will be exposed to new cultures, foods, and friends. They will laugh until they fall over, run around on the beach chasing waves, and sit by the campfire roasting marshmallows. They will definitely visit Disney World!
No matter what form this adoption takes, know that you will always be a part of their life. They will grow up understanding how courageous you are and how much you truly love them.
Our story began in 2011. We met while Curtis was in Hawaii for a conference and Lucas was stationed in Hawaii with the Navy. Lucas saw something special in a Naval Officer he met online. We met for dinner that Lucas had set up with a local chef and there was an instant connection! After Lucas finished his time in the Navy, he moved to the East Coast so we could finally live together. We were married in 2014 in a beautiful ceremony at Walt Disney World! Friends and family were there to help us celebrate. Curtis is currently working for the Department of the Navy helping to coordinate education programs. Curtis’ hobbies include fitness, museums, history, baking, and playing with our dogs. Lucas is now in the Army National Guard, but when he isn’t being a soldier Lucas is an accomplished chef. He has worked in some of the best new restaurants in the country and has even started hosting his own events. Lucas also has a passion for music and the arts. We are both big kids at heart and love to travel. We’ve been all over the US and have been able to travel overseas as well. Lucas también vivió en México sólo para aprender Español! We both enjoy exploring new places, eating good food, and being with great friends. We can often be found at Disney World or on a Disney cruise!
It has become tradition for us to go to the movies on Thanksgiving to see the latest Disney/Pixar release. This year it’s Coco! Such a heart warming beautiful movie. The theme of the movie is that family is the importance of family, and it’s something we agree with. We’re hoping we’ll be growing our family soon and will be taking a little one to the movies on Thanksgiving too!
We just got back from a great weekend in Kansas City. Lucas grew up in Kansas City but I had never been. It was exciting to get to see the places that Lucas used to hangout at and enjoy while he was a kid. We were in town for a wedding so it was great meeting a lot of his friends as well! Kansas City was a pleasant surprise! We had some great meals, visited a great art museum, got to go to the zoo, and all kinds of other stuff!
