Happy Couple Seeking Our Bundle of Joy of Any Ethnicity!

Thank you for taking the time to read more about us and for considering us to love and cherish your child. We would be the luckiest of couples!

We are so blessed to have found each other and would like to be able to share our joy and love with a child. We know that there is a baby out there who is meant to be a part of our family. This loving home will not be complete until that little angel finds its way into our arms!

Our family will...
● Always be supportive, caring, honest, and kind!
● Be explorers! Trying new foods, enjoying live music, and traveling to new places.
● Get outside and play! Our neighborhood is a quiet, treelined street with neighborhood concerts, shops and events. There is also a city park a halfblock away and two more within walking distance.
● Cherish family traditions and look to make new memories! Celebrate holidays, do crafts, read together, learn together, frost and decorate Christmas cookies, do scavenger hunts, sing songs, build Legos and have dance parties :).
● Keep a special place in our child’s life for his or her birth family!
We would like to keep an open and honest relationship with the birth family and would like our adopted child to know them and their love. What that will look like will most likely change from year to year, but we are willing to work out the details with the birth parents as we go along. We are hopeful that we may consider them a part of our extended family. It is very important to us that our child knows where he/she came from, his/her roots and family culture. We are committed to making sure this happens.

We both love spending time with family and friends, doing puzzles, traveling, live music, cooking (but mostly eating!), cheering for our favorite college sports teams, and, most recently, rereading, re-watching and “geeking out” over Game of Thrones! We are into all the Marvel comics movies, love to go for walks or hikes, and just general "adventuring"!!

Contact us if you are interested in getting to know us. We'd love to get to know you!

Who We Are

OUR STORY: We met in 2011 at a Minnesota Twins game. We have a mutual friend that set us up, and we all went to the game together. They made sure we sat next to each other! We talked about Harry Potter, baseball and did the small talk thing. Soon after, Andy called Margaret and we had our first date. :)

We always try to be the best person we can be for the other--supportive, caring, kind. We want to grow old and wrinkly together! The fact that we both enjoy many of the same things makes it easy-- walks, eating good food, live music, movies (e.g. Marvel comics and sci-fi!), TV (e.g. Game of Thrones!), reading, and especially traveling to and exploring new places. And did I mention GOOD FOOD? We love to eat!

The most important thing to us is spending quality time with family for holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter) and for special occasions (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc.) and whenever we can get some quality hangout time with them. We absolutely cannot wait to bring a little one into our loving, supportive families! He/she will be adored!!

Adoption Diary

Wrapping up stuff before some summer fun!

We had a nice dinner with my parents for Father’s Day yesterday.  I “went crazy” and tried to make my own stuffed turkey burgers, Greek style.  They actually turned out ok!  It was so muggy during the day that I just stayed inside so I didn’t sweat!! LOL Andy planted a bunch of tomatoes, eggplant and cucumbers we got that morning at a local nursery.  After dinner, though, it was SO NICE OUT!!  We had dessert out on the deck (mom’s cherry pie—dad’s fav) and Andy and I went for a nice walk after my parents went home.  We had gone to Costco earlier in the day to scope out possible dinners for my side’s family vacay, and Andy bought a portable hammock.  He set it up between the basketball hoop pole and a post on our deck!  We sat in it after our walk and I think I could have gone to sleep very easily.  It was still light out at 9pm with a nice light breeze…

Today I’m trying to motivate to finish my online training to substitute teach in the area next school year.  We decided that I wouldn’t apply to any full time classroom jobs in case we get a baby!  I’ll just sub and tutor, keeping the hours flexible. I always felt like many subs got treated horribly by the students—I always gave my classes a “stern talking to”- ha ha- about being nice to them when I was gone.  BUT, after 18 years of experience teaching all kinds of kids, I know the tricks they have up their sleeves!! lol Plus, I get along with most teens.  Maybe I still have an adolescent sense of humor. :)  Photo: Please excuse workout attire.  Need to burn off the cherry pie!!

Deviled eggs

Andy was bummed to have missed out on his Mom’s deviled eggs when my parents and I had lunch with Andy’s parents during our MN visit. SO, he gets a surprise tonight at dinner. Brats and deviled eggs! I accidentally over-paprika-ed a couple of them, but, overall I think they look good!! The filling is good. I know cause I licked the bowl clean! Lol
