Who We Are
We are one of the internet-age couples, having met on a dating site in 2008. When Rob first saw Natasha in person on a cloudy February morning just after Valentine’s Day, he knew that he was “in trouble” (his words). Three months later we purchased a property to build a house on and got married within a year. While we come from very different backgrounds (Natasha comes from Slovakia in Central Europe and Rob from Australia), we share many of our dreams and goals, such as having a family, and a nice and comfortable home. We know several families with adopted children and have witnessed the joy and love they experience. We are excited to begin the journey of raising a child, providing them with love, caring, support and opportunities.
We have just got back from a trip to Europe! It was nice to catch up with friends and family and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Just as we are getting over one jet lag, the next big trip is coming up soon - stay tuned, we’ll be reporting from Down Under.
My niece Tami is almost 10! She is just going through that stage when she is a half kid and half teenager and I wanted to capture that moment before it’s gone. So Rob and I thought we would surprise her by commissioning a sculpture that would look at least a little like her. We have a close friend Judy who is into that kind of thing. How many people can say they have a statue made to look like them?
I enlisted my sister, who sent me pictures of Tami. Judy likes to add a little something to her statues, such as a bird, and she asked me if if she could add a bird, a bunny, or some other animal. How did she know Tami had a bunny? I said yes, a black bunny! So here it is, Tami in her turquoise dress, holding the statue of herself with the bunny!
