Like most modern romances we met online, have been together for many years and are committed to our family. We are very excited to celebrate our first wedding anniversary in April and our daughter Francie's first birthday in September.
One thing that drew us to one another is that we both wanted to be parents, so we began exploring adoption alternatives. Open adoption stands out as the best path for us and our future child. We adopted our first child, Francie in Sept of 2017 and have developed a wonderful bond with her Birthmother (Ashli), Birth grandmother (Jacqui), Birth great grandmother (Jane) and all of Francie's Birth Family.
“Our philosophy is that bloodlines do not define family, love-lines do.”
We live in Hapeville, Georgia, a
charming small town 15 minutes from
downtown Atlanta. Hapeville’s downtown
is walkable and features an old-fashioned
drug store where you can still sit at the
counter and enjoy a chocolate milk shake.
Our brick bungalow was built in the 1920’s
and sits on a tree-lined street where you
can hear the church bells chime. A highly
accredited private school, Woodward
Academy, is a bike ride away where we
hope to enroll our little one.
Joe is a family man shown by
his commitment to his mother, sisters, nieces, nephews and me. His caring nature and love for animals demonstrates his compassion and kindness. A nurturing and loving man, Joe is an awesome dad, a dad that our child will find as a best friend and confidant as the years unfold.
Marcus’s zest for life is contagious. He’s a loving person who is always trying to help people grow and learn and he’s never met a
stranger. He is a list-maker and a planner, so our weekends are usually full of lots of fun and lots of accomplishments! I can’t imagine a more nurturing role model for our child.
