Free At Last…

For the past few months, I (Jason) have been studying for the GMAT, a standardized test I need to take to get into graduate school for business. Fitting in study time while working and raising a two year old was a tough task, but I finally finished and got the score I needed. Needless to say, it involved a lot of teamwork and support from Bethany.

I was nervous to take the test because I took it once before and didn’t do as well as I needed to, but I decided I would relax and not stress. My months of studying paid off when I saw my score - I got just what I needed. I was so happy when I left the testing center that I shouted with excitement when I got to my car!

When I got home, Bethany and Aria had ice cream and food ready to celebrate. Bethany said that Aria specifically picked out a football balloon. I like to think it’s because I have convinced her college football is amazing. We have this thing where I taught her to say Alabama’s cheer - “Roll Tide!” - and she’ll do it on command.

After eating dinner, we got to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Aria for the very first time. She loves it now - she says “I want to watch the branch!” Relaxing together as a family and watching Christmas movies was a good way to celebrate that I don’t have to study anymore, or at least, not until I start grad school.
