We met while working together. It wasn't until Liz moved away that we decided to go on our first date. Ever since that date, we have been together. We were married two years after that at a beautiful winery in Temecula, CA. We have been married now for 3 years and we truly are a team and are very much in love. At our core, we are a fun loving couple with a genuine love for life and family. Being parents of our 8 year old son Ian has been the most meaningful experience in our lives. Liz is thankful and feels lucky that Ian has been as loving and accepting of her as his step mom. We can't wait for the opportunity to multiply that experience with another child in our home. We welcome all of the extra love and laughter with open arms and feel blessed that God has led us to choose adoption. On the weekends when we don't have Ian, we generally use that time to hang out with friends or go on a date night. Our friends also have children; we are Auntie and Uncle to lots of kids in our circle, and it's a lot of fun.
We absolutely love where we live; we are two blocks from the beach, great shops and restaurants and most importantly, the diversity in Long Beach is what drew us in in the first place. Belmont Shore has a neighborly feel and all of our close friends and family members live close by. There is something always going on whether a festival, concerts in the park or a cultural event, we are excited to introduce our little one to the fun activities throughout our city.
As told by Luis:
Lizzie is the sweetest woman I know. She loves to spend time with family and friends, especially when there are special occasions such as holidays and birthdays. Lizzie is loving, caring, understanding and provides comfort to those around her when needed. Her tender and caring way of being was impossible to resist, that is why I fell in love with her. Lizzie is a Sales Analyst. One of the things I love most about her job is that it is flexible and that she can work from home when needed, definitely an advantage. Lizzie is a fabulous cook and loves to be the hostess of events. From a young age, Lizzie has traveled the world; it has become part of her and has been proven every time we've traveled. Lizzie grew up Catholic and believes that religion is an important part of a child's life.
As told by Liz:
Luis is already the world's greatest Dad! He is loving, patient and fun. He is selfless and makes it his top priority to take care of his family. He gets along with everyone he meets and he is so passionate about everything he does. He plans on teaching all of our children how to play soccer, basketball, etc.and can hardly wait until they are old enough to learn. He amazes me constantly in all the ways that he can make Ian laugh and just how great he is with him. Being a Father has brought out some of the best qualities he has and I can't wait to see it happen all over again. Luis is a Sales Manager and he always looks for what is best for everyone involved.
