Our little pond is growing
On the hottest day of the year so far, the little pond in the front of our house is just over a month old! We started with about a dozen fish, and now we are down to about five. We think. The pond is so overgrown with algae, it’s impossible to see more than a few inches down. The nice folks at the local pond store assure me that it’s absolutely normal, and even healthy, as the thick algae means that no predators can see the fish. However, it makes my little pond a lot less fun.
