We have been busy for two weeks now, celebrating, preparing, and celebrating some more. Before Christmas, Mara has a tradition of a marathon shopping day after Thanksgiving with one of her besties. Then, Simon and his friends always try to take in a movie before the holidays. We love touring the Island looking at the holiday lights on the neighborhood homes. This year we posted one every night on our facebook page, check it out! On Christmas Eve, Mara’s family gathers for a night of silliness, dressed in jammies. On Christmas Day, we joined Mara’s parents and brother for dinner and to open gifts together. This year Simon received a tiny Google home and Mara a tremendous Lego Disney castle to assemble. We are VERY lucky to have such generous family members. The rest of the week between Christmas and New Years is spent visiting friends and family. Mara loves visiting her nieces and nephews after the holidays to play. Next, we will have Simon’s family over for a belated Hanukkah celebrations. Last, we will ring in the New Year with our pup Ted and some dear friends. We toast to a year of good health, happiness and a little one to complete our family!
