We want to tell you how much we admire and respect you. We realize and can't begin to imagine what a difficult time this is for you. It takes a very special person to consider making an adoption plan for their child. Your decision is a courageous and selfless one. It is not only a blessing for your child but also for the loving people you choose to adopt your precious gift.
We are grateful to have you get to know us as we get to know you. This is a journey for both of us. It means the world to us that you may be considering us for your baby. We will do whatever we can to make this journey an easy one for you. We will surround your baby with all the love we have. We will raise your child in a warm and compassionate home filled with hugs and laughter and patience. We will provide a safe and nurturing environment where your child will thrive.
We first met in 2009 and dated briefly. Timing was not on our side, but at the end of 2012 we were back in each others lives. We started out as friends and after spending so much time together, we knew we wanted more. We were excited to spend our lives together and to see what would come our way. We knew we wanted a family, and soon after getting married we suffered an ectopic pregnancy. Afterwards, we knew having a family would not be as easy as we thought. We had always talked about adoption, especially since one of our nieces is adopted.. We always felt it was a calling. We knew immediately that adoption was meant to be for us.
We made promises to one another- to love, cherish, respect, and care for each other- no matter what life hands us. We will make the same promises to nay child.
So today is apparently Talk Like a Pirate Day. Did you all know there was such a day? Well, there is. So, now Bill and I are trying to come up with our best pirate voices and phrases. We are always up for a competition with one another. I happen to think my pirate impressions are better, since impressions are a hidden talent of mine that only those closest to me know. Check back to see who we decided won.
Ok. It’s Monday. Caffeine in hand and ready to start the week. I can’t believe we are in the middle of Sept. already. It’s warm and muggy in NY today, so it does not feel like fall yet. They only thing I’ve decorated for fall so far is the dining room. I just can’t put a scarecrow out when it’s 80 outside. But I within the next two weeks. Fall is our favorite time of year. The color of the leaves, the briskness in the air, and our impending wedding anniversary. Plus, football! Let’s make it a great week.
