We want to tell you how much we admire and respect you. We realize and can't begin to imagine what a difficult time this is for you. It takes a very special person to consider making an adoption plan for their child. Your decision is a courageous and selfless one. It is not only a blessing for your child but also for the loving people you choose to adopt your precious gift.
We are grateful to have you get to know us as we get to know you. This is a journey for both of us. It means the world to us that you may be considering us for your baby. We will do whatever we can to make this journey an easy one for you. We will surround your baby with all the love we have. We will raise your child in a warm and compassionate home filled with hugs and laughter and patience. We will provide a safe and nurturing environment where your child will thrive.
We first met in 2009 and dated briefly. Timing was not on our side, but at the end of 2012 we were back in each others lives. We started out as friends and after spending so much time together, we knew we wanted more. We were excited to spend our lives together and to see what would come our way. We knew we wanted a family, and soon after getting married we suffered an ectopic pregnancy. Afterwards, we knew having a family would not be as easy as we thought. We had always talked about adoption, especially since one of our nieces is adopted.. We always felt it was a calling. We knew immediately that adoption was meant to be for us.
We made promises to one another- to love, cherish, respect, and care for each other- no matter what life hands us. We will make the same promises to nay child.
One more day of work and them we are off for a four day weekend. We have a family wedding to attend on Saturday. We are so thrilled for my cousin! Then it’s back to reality- studying for me. One month to go until my board exam. Nervous? That puts it mildly. Bill is so encouraging though. He keeps telling me I will pass on the first try. I pray for so much- a family, good health, and now to pass this exam. Thinking positive!
Finally, spring has sprung which means that we went to the nursery for our plants for the season. I love it each year when I start shopping for the flower garden. There’s just so much to choose from! This year we got Zinnia for the front of the house. Mixes of reds, pinks, oranges, and yellows. For the planters we got big begonias called whopper begonias. They are pinky red in color. For the backyard, we got sunpatiens in a nice lilac and magenta color. So pretty!! Hoping it’s going to be a nice weekend coming up so we can plant them. Once they are planted, I buy ladybugs to keep the bad bugs away. Bill thought I was nuts last year buying ladybugs from the nursery, but it worked!! Nothing ate the plants. Plus, don’t you just love seeing a ladybug?
