Chris's birthday is the day after Christmas, so we usually have his favorite, a chocolate cake to celebrate :)

Who We Are
We met in 2004 at college - when we decided to go on a midnight run for ice cream! It turned out to be a great way to get to know each other since the tubs of ice cream lasted us weeks. We had lots of time to bond over our favorite music, action movies, and our shared Christian faith. For our first Valentine’s Day together, Ali decided to make a lobster dinner, something she never attempted before! We’ve continued this tradition ever since, swapping whose turn it is to make a “fancy” dinner every year and always making something new. In the process, Chris discovered he’s a really good cook and Ali discovered she doesn’t like some exotic meats! We married in 2006 and are now excited to start more fun family traditions when we welcome a son or daughter into our lives.
It’s with great shock that we found out the adoption agency we were using is closing, actually, “closed”. We received a notice that they went bankrupt and are immediately closed. No warning or anything!
So unfortunately, Chris and I are left hanging. Without an adoption agency. Until we decide what to do next, we are basically on pause. Not sure how long it will take to get going again. We’ll be looking into new adoption agencies as well as adoption lawyers. Such a bummer!
Chris and I love going to see plays, on broadway and off broadway with his family while we visit NYC for Christmas. We’ve seen The Christmas Story, Cinderella, The Lion King, The Rockettes, and this year Cats. NYC at Christmas time is fun, seeing the decorated windows and visiting the Christmas markets set up in the parks is a lot of fun. One year we even got a “proper” Christmas and got snowed in! Missed our flight and at the time had to rent a car to get back to Rochester NY where we were living. Now, we live in California where the snow stays hidden in Tahoe!
After hanging out with Chris’s family for a few days, we head to my family, a short bus ride out of NYC to Pennsylvania. Where Christmas at my grandmothers house is a tradition and so is decorating gingerbread houses with my little cousins! Traveling to the east coast for Christmas is always tiring but so worth it to see family for a few days!
