We hope to meet you and learn about the type of home and future you envision for your child. Raising a happy, healthy, and well-rounded child is our utmost priority; sharing the journey with you would be our honor. Whatever you choose, we hope that your decision brings you comfort and peace of heart and mind. Please feel free to reach out to us anytime.
Believe it or not, we went to elementary school together! We became good friends in high school and kept in touch while we were away at different colleges. After college we each moved back to our hometown and reconnected. We were inseparable – camping, going to concerts, and spending every free minute together we could find! We soon realized that no love is greater than the love of a best friend and we took a chance and started dating. That was more than 15 years ago and we have now been happily married for over 10 years!
Corey is a high school science teacher, boys’ volleyball coach, and fishing club advisor who enjoys and takes full advantage of his summers off. Dawn works at a large university as an events manager and has a lot of flexibility with her schedule. Corey looks forward to the day when he can stay at home with our little one during school holiday breaks and summer vacation.
Last weekend we visited Corey’s parents and headed to the town of Murphys in California’s Gold Country for a day of fun. We had a great day, stopping in at Ironestone Vineyards for a wine tasting and to tour their beautiful grounds. They have an awesome museum onsite and Corey, being the Geology teacher he is, really enjoyed the gems and minerals they had on display. We also had a nice lunch in town and cruised through the shops. My favorite shop is the Spice Tin, they have more spices than you can imagine - the smell is amazing! Fall is definitely in the air, we love this time of year!
We had an amazing summer, problem is it went way too fast! Over the last few months we spent time camping, fishing and kayaking, we also went on a family vacation to Lake Tahoe and to a handful of Giants games. Now the end of August is here and school is about to start again, which means Corey’s back to teaching high school, and Dawn’s work at the university is ramping up again. We are so grateful for our summers, and can’t wait to spend them with a little one of our own someday!
