This is us!

  • We fit in a weekend hike as often as we can.
  • Our favorite college football teams are rivals. Barbi Jo loves The Cougars and Egan loves The Huskies! Makes football season that much more fun!
  • Ice cream is a staple in our house! We all have a different favorite flavor.
  • Last day of school = colored hair. So fun
  • Celebrating a friends birthday party with an 80's Big Hair theme. I think Egan won for the biggest hair contest!
  • Reading with our friend Emerson. He was adopted by our very close friends. They have an open adoption where they exchange emails and pictures monthly.
  • Swimming lessons at an early age. Perhaps one day the kids will be on swim team like Mommy was. Until then water safety is important.
  • We love getting in the car and driving around the neighborhood looking at all the Christmas lights. One game we play is to count how many reindeer or snowmen we see.
  • Faith getting up close and personal with a giraffe at an African Zoo in Arizona. She told us his tongue felt like wet sandpaper on her hand. Yuck! :)
  • Faith, Egan and I headed over to Victoria on the ferry. I loved using those little baby carriers. The babies are so warm, comfortable and snuggled in and yet they can see everything going on around them.
  • Fathers Day starts out right with a little breakfast at restaurant we like right on the water.
  • Alexi's first family photo. Can't wait to add another baby into this family. :)
  • Faith - waiting patiently to teach a brother or sister all she knows!
  • Beating the heat by taking in a movie

  • Diego checking out Faith when she was just a few days old. I think he is wondering when she would be old enough to play with him!
  • Alexi eating ice cream bigger than her face!

  • Enjoying the sun and the end of work week
  • Faith and Alexi dressed Diego up as a princess. LOL.
  • Girls went to a birthday party where they had exotic animals to pet and hold! I would not have touched that thing but Alexi was all about it!
  • Alexi holding Baby Abi who was adopted by friends of ours. They have an open adoption with her birth parents.
  • There is an art studio a few blocks from our house where the kids can literally throw paint on the walls. The kids love it there.
  • First track meet. Their "starts" crack me up. They are so serious! :)
  • Faith and Mommy messing around with snapchat.
  • Daddy coloring Faith's hair for the last day of school.
  • Spoiled dogs napping in their bed. We rescued Diego from a family who was not kind to him and we got Poncho from someone who found his litter abandoned in the woods. Our family wouldn't be complete without them.

Our home

  • Front of house with new porch added this past spring. Now we just need some lemonade and a swing.
  • Covered sun porch. This is where the dogs sleep and the kids practice piano.
  • Playroom. This is where the Lego magic happens!
  • Faith waiting patiently for me to help her cook something in the kitchen.
  • Our updated backyard. Egan renovated it to have beautiful gardens (mmmmm.....raspberries!) a place for a trampoline and a patio for BBQing and eating outside
  • Enjoying the backyard fire pit. It converts into a table for outdoor meals.
  • Alexi's birthday party in the back yard complete with balloon magic.
  • My mothers day present from the kids. Backyard Badminton
  • Family of five needs a minivan, right? We bought this in anticipation of adopting. Perfect for hauling us all around.
  • Movie room. Also where Saturday morning vids are played.
